Bearings are divided into radial bearings and thrust bearings according to the bearing direction or nominal contact angle.

According to the type of rolling element, it is divided into ball bearing and roller bearing. 

It can be divided into self-aligning bearing and non self-aligning bearing (rigid bearing) according to whether it can be self-aligning.

According to the number of columns of rolling element, it is divided into single row bearing, double row bearing and multi row bearing.

According to whether the components can be separated, they are divided into separable bearings and non separable bearings.

In addition, there are classifications according to structural shape and size.

1、 Angular contact ball bearing

There are contact angles between the ferrule and the ball. The standard contact angles are 15 °, 30 ° and 40 °. The larger the contact angle, the greater the axial load capacity. The smaller the contact angle, the more conducive to high-speed rotation. The single row bearing can withstand radial load and unidirectional axial load. The two single row angular contact ball bearings, which are structurally combined on the back, share the inner ring and outer ring, and can withstand radial load and bidirectional axial load.

2、 Self aligning ball bearing

Double row steel balls, the outer ring raceway is of inner spherical surface type, so it can automatically adjust the misalignment of the axis caused by the deflection or non concentricity of the shaft or housing. The tapered hole bearing can be conveniently installed on the shaft by using fasteners, mainly bearing the radial load.

3、 Self aligning roller bearing

This type of bearing is equipped with spherical rollers between the outer ring of the spherical raceway and the inner ring of the double raceway. According to the different internal structures, it is divided into four types: R, Rh, RHA and Sr. because the arc center of the outer ring raceway is consistent with the bearing center, it has the centering performance, so it can automatically adjust the axis misalignment caused by the deflection or misalignment of the shaft or outer shell, and can bear radial load and bidirectional axial load

4、 Thrust self-aligning roller bearing

In this type of bearing, the spherical rollers are arranged obliquely. Because the raceway surface of the race is spherical and has centering performance, the shaft can be allowed to have several inclinations. The axial load capacity is very large. It can bear several radial loads while bearing the axial load. Oil lubrication is generally used during use.

5、 Tapered roller bearing

This type of bearing is equipped with a cone-shaped roller, which is guided by the large flange of the inner ring. In design, the apex of the inner ring raceway surface, the outer ring raceway surface and the conical surfaces of the roller rolling surface intersect at a point on the bearing centerline. Single row bearing can bear radial load and one-way axial load, and double row bearing can bear radial load and two-way axial load, which is suitable for bearing heavy load and impact load.

6、 Deep groove ball bearing

Structurally, each ring of the deep groove ball bearing has a continuous groove raceway with a cross section of about one third of the circumference of the equatorial circle of the ball. Deep groove ball bearing is mainly used to bear radial load, but also can bear certain axial load.

When the radial clearance of the bearing increases, it has the property of angular contact ball bearing and can bear the alternating axial load in two directions. Compared with other types of bearings with the same size, this type of bearing has small friction coefficient, high limit speed and high precision. It is the preferred bearing type for users to select.

7、 Thrust ball bearing 

It is composed of a washer shaped raceway ring with raceway, a ball and a cage assembly. The raceway ring matched with the shaft is called a shaft ring, and the raceway ring matched with the housing is called a seat ring. The two-way bearing fits the middle ring with the secret shaft. The one-way bearing can bear one-way axial load, and the two-way bearing can bear two-way axial load (neither can bear radial load).

8、 Thrust roller bearing 

The thrust roller bearing is used for bearing the shaft with axial load as the main load, and the longitudinal load shall not exceed 55% of the axial load. Compared with other thrust roller bearings, this kind of bearing has lower friction coefficient, higher rotating speed and self-aligning ability. The roller of the 29000 bearing is an asymmetric spherical roller, which can reduce the relative sliding of the stick and the raceway in the work. In addition, the roller is long and large in diameter, with a large number of rollers and a large load capacity. It is usually lubricated with oil, and grease can be used for individual low-speed situations.

9、 Cylindrical roller bearing

The roller of a cylindrical roller bearing is usually guided by two edges of a bearing ring. The cage roller and the guide ring form an assembly, which can be separated from another bearing ring. It belongs to a separable bearing.

The bearing is easy to install and disassemble, especially when the inner and outer rings are required to be interference fit with the shaft and housing. This kind of bearing is generally only used to bear radial load. Only single row bearing with inner and outer rings with retaining edges can bear small steady axial load or large intermittent axial load.
